Cecily Donoghue

'Mental Health in the Construction Industry - an employers perspective'

The construction industry poses unique mental health challenges to the individuals who work within it. The issues are complex and often result in absenteeism, decreased productivity, stress and depression, suicide and a negative culture. Whilst the individual is often the main person at risk, there are consequences for their employers and ultimately this can often impact the commercial arrangements in place.

Cecily Donoghue, Employment Solicitor at Gregg Latchams, will talk about the steps employers can and should take to support their staff. How they can identify issues and manage absence as well as the commercial benefits of promoting and protecting mental health. She regularly advises businesses and employers in the construction industry with their employment and HR issues and will provide practical advice on the legal obligations owed to staff.

Nick Elston

'Talking Anxiety in Construction'

Nick Elston is one of the UK's leading Speakers on Anxiety from a 'Lived Experience' perspective. Described as 'A BIG man, BIG heart, BIG story & BRUTAL honesty!' Nick engages audiences globally on what Anxiety DOES - how it affects the decisions you make, the opportunities you take - even the relationships you choose - how it stops you living a life on your terms. Having spoken at many Construction businesses & events with phenomenal feedback - Nick will be helping you to manage Anxiety in YOUR life and business!
