Want to know your cowcumber from your cardoon?
Ever wondered what real butter beer tastes like?
Then join us on the 6th of September at 7pm for a gourmet adventure, as we take a new look at ancient recipes and forgotten ingredients!
In a world of processed food and imported produce we’re taking a leap into the past to explore how we can use old varieties of vegetables, foraged plants and historical recipes to create a delicious dining experience.
Taking inspiration from key periods of history we will showcase dishes at the roots of British cuisine.
Tickets include:
Butter beer on arrival and a glass of mead with dinner.
Thousand year old egg, potage, ginger
Roasted eel, orange, pomegranate
Artichoke bottom tart (v)
Roman bread, herbs, salted cheese
Pudding in a cowcumber
Hogget, fennel, ‘compost’
Compost’, goats curd (v)
Wine pudding with blackberries
Roman nut tart, ricotta, lemon, honey
Additional drinks will be available to purchase at the venue.
