Description

Access to this event is included in the MFest Festival Pass and the Saturday Pass.

Hear the founder of Forgotten Heroes 14-19 Foundation, Luc Ferrier, describe how he came across his great grandfather’s First World War diaries, in which he read about the “Mohammedans” he encountered in the trenches. Ferrier now dedicates his life to documenting the role of the two million Muslim soldiers and labourers from the USA to China, who fought in a European war. An illustrated talk with extraordinary archive material that will change your view of World War One.

Suitable for all ages.
