Friends Who Are Going
Event description

Description

In recent years many of the city's green spaces have been decorated with wildflower. Tin Shed Theatre Co. are presenting an opportunity for the young people of Newport to come together and share their own stories of the wilder parts of Newport alongside memories and experience collated from local keepers of these wild spaces and the people who appreciate them.

We'll be sharing words and listening to collected stories about life within abandoned spaces. The workshop will end with a performative presentation using a mish-mash of words about Newport and its forgotten spaces.

Leave with a new found appreciation for wildflowers and the hidden corners they inhabit around your city.

This is a FREE workshop. To secure your place, click attending and we will contact you.

We would like to encourage those from a non-performative background to join as no previous theatrical experience is required. 14 – 25yrs

If you are under 18, please turn up with your parent/guardian or bring along the consent form on the day. We will provide you with a consent form via email.

This event runs alongside a takeover day at the Riverfront by RBG Kew's Grow Wild. Grow Wild are presenting their funded Get Creative youth projects in a spectacular event celebrating these works, which will include visual and performance art.
