In this webinar we will look at the wide range of materials available from paving and ground cover, to walls, fences and railings.

We will discuss how to use hard materials to get the best from your design. For each type of material we will look at methods of using them with a series of images for each element.

Meet Hilary Newhall CMLI

I have worked in the landscape sector for 50 + years, including 30 + years as an award - winnning chartered landscape architect.

• Here are just a few of the diverse projects I have worked on: Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIAs) for large and small housing projects and solar farms.
• Master plans for projects ranging from 2 high - end new build houses, to a 300 ha area with 1500 houses.
• Detailed hard materials and planting designs to accompany planning applications and to discharge planning conditions.
• My academic background: I have a landscape design honours degree; a postgraduate diploma in landscape architecture, and further study and experience to gain membership of the Landscape Institute.
• I have been teaching garden design and landscape architecture for more than 15 years.
