About the author

Professor Mélanie Bourassa-Forcier has been a member of the Quebec Bar since 1999 and a professor in the Faculty of Law at University of Sherbrooke since 2010. She is a research associate at the University of Sherbrooke's Center for Research in Law and Health Policy. She is also a researcher (Fellow) with the CIRANO research group.

Professor Bourassa-Forcier is particularly interested in the regulation of health products in Canada, the negotiation and drafting of commercial agreements in the life sciences sector, the regulatory framework for the activities of pharmacists and policies to promote the quality and performance of the Quebec health system.

Professor Bourassa-Forcier has been the recipient of numerous prestigious awards and scholarships, including a SSHRC Doctoral Fellowship and the Commonwealth Scholarship.
