This session will take place at Formby Beach with the support of AWP Staff.
Meet Roger and Mel at the temporary Formby Beach car park (info below) at 2pm. The group will take a walk over to Formby Beach. AWP will also provide some picnic blankets, outdoor games, and drinks and snacks. If you have any allergies or food intolerances, please state this.
Does Formby Beach have car parking?
Currently, the main beach car park is closed for restoration. However, a temporary car park has been put in place. You can find more about where to park here... Formby beach car park closed │ Liverpool | National Trust. This is where the group will meet on the day.
Can children come along?
As this event takes place during the summer holidays, we’re happy to welcome children aged 7 and above. To ensure the comfort and safety of everyone attending, we ask that only children of autistic adults attend, and that those adults take full responsibility for their child throughout the session.
Please also be mindful that some attendees may have sensory sensitivities, and others may not have children with them.
Dogs at the Session 🐾
Yes, well-behaved dogs on leads are very welcome at this session!
We kindly ask that dogs remain on leads to ensure everyone feels comfortable and safe - especially as some adults may have a fear of dogs. This helps us make the session as accessible and enjoyable as possible for all.
That said, once you're there, you're welcome to check with the group to see if everyone is okay with your dog being off-lead. If the group agrees, that’s absolutely fine - we just ask that you respect everyone’s preferences.
Please note: While we do our best to create a comfortable environment, we are in a public space, and we can’t control dogs belonging to other beachgoers - many of whom may have their dogs off-lead. If you have a strong fear of dogs, please keep this in mind before booking.
