There is a grant fund to cover costs of child care at home.

BSL English interpreters can also be available if there is a need for them.

All talks will be live streamed and recorded for future reference.

The Icebreaker Map Room tour at the National Library of Scotland is a fantastic opportunity to get access to rarely seen maps, see a little bit of Edinburgh and meet others in the FOSS4G community. Do note though that spaces are limited to 11 people per tour (at 4pm and 5pm, first come, first served) but there will be a parallel tour of the Bartholomews Building and some other sights of interest to mapping enthusiasts.

The Community Sprint provides the opportunity for 30 people to get together to make plans, work on new features, write documentation and generally collaborate. Edinburgh Conference and Training Venue provides comfortable facilities with all the refreshments, power and wifi you could need, it’s up to the individual projects to decide what the time is used for.

The Community Sprint is not just a place for developers - it’s not just about writing code – as we all know a project has many needs including documentation, testing, and providing feedback. What better way to give feedback and give back to the project that you love than to spend a day with the project’s developers. There are roles that need to be filled, no matter what your expertise.

FOSS4G UK 2019 was only made possible by the generous support of a large number of sponsors:

Skyscanner, Ordnance Survey, thinkWhere, Astun Technology, 2ndQuadrant, esri UK, British Geological Survey, GEOLYTIX, addresscloud, Cawdor Forestry, TheDataLab, Tilhill Forestry, Registers of Scotland, Google, Geomni, Jumping Rivers and Nautoguide.
