About this event
Come and hunt for fossils found on the Holderness Coast. Look out for Ammonites, Devil's toe-nails and Belemnites, but you never know what might turn up during your search.
No prior experience needed and this activity is suitable for all the family.
Embrace your wild side - what to expect:
This event takes place on Spurn's beach, which has uneven terrain.
What to bring/wear
Our events mostly take place outside so brace yourself for the Yorkshire weather! We'd recommend sturdy and waterproof footwear or wellies, and lots of layers! If it's a hot day, remember a hat and suncream!
Toilets and catering
There are toilets (including an accessible toilet) and a café at the Spurn Discovery Centre, serving both hot and cold food.
Covid-19 secure
If you have tested positive or think you may have Covid-19 we ask you to stay at home. Please contact Supporter Services if this is the case and your booking will be refunded. Visit our events Covid-19 page for more details.
Joining us on the day
Our events meet at Spurn Discovery Centre, where there is a cafe and toilets. Please arrive with plenty of time before your event!
Please meet at our picnic benches in the Spurn Discovery Centre's outdoor auditorium.
Parking
There is a £5 parking charge, which helps us to maintain the centre and look after the reserve. There is free parking for Wildlife Trust members who display their up-to-date membership card on their car dashboard.
