A hybrid joint IP Inclusive and Jonathan’s Voice event delving into the topic of Men’s Mental Health.

This is the second event of this specific collaboration, and this time we are incredibly lucky to be joined by James McFarlane. James is an IP solicitor and Men’s Mental Health maverick, who, at the height of Covid, defied tradition to start a highly successful Men’s Mental Health Group for lawyers in Scotland. The Group is still growing today, and meet regularly to discuss Wellbeing topics typically considered ‘off the agenda’ for men.

James will be sharing his insights from that experience; from starting to growing the Group, and how it fits with his career and personal ethos.

We are also fortunate to again be joined by Graham McCartney, a trustee of Jonathan’s Voice and father to Jonathan McCartney. As many will know, the charity was founded in memory of Jonathan; a patent attorney who tragically, and unexpectedly, took his own life.

Graham will provide a brief overview of the founding, and work, of Jonathan’s Voice; a poignant, but stark, note on why the topic of Men’s Mental Health is a vital area in which we need to continue to build the conversation.

This is a hybrid event, to allow us to try to reach as many people as possible. However, the in-person element, and EIP’s London Office, will have time for networking with likeminded individuals in the profession after the talks.
