About this event

Outline: Talking with a bereaved person can be challenging when all you want to do is provide comfort and reassurance. This session is intended to equip anyone with the knowledge and approach to speak to bereft individuals, especially linking to the individuals place of work.

What will I learn? This session will aim to support you in exploring the grieving process and increase your confidence when speaking with bereaved people, as well as learning about the use of basic verbal and non-verbal communications.

Audience: This is a session for anyone that has a role within a clinical setting whether in a Business Support or Clinical teams.

All training is tailored to meet the individual needs of our health and social care partners throughout Basildon and Thurrock and beyond, to ensure that our partners throughout the communities we serve are supported. Bespoke training to meet the specific needs of an organisation can also be planned and delivered.

Training can be facilitated in a variety of formats to suit the needs of your team, with options available for face to face and virtual training, as well as access to specialist webinars.

Session size can also be tailored in length, ranging from bite size two-hour sessions to more intensive courses which are covered over a three-day period.

Our brand new, purpose built education suite, located in the peaceful surroundings of our new Thurrock Hospice, is available for face to face training sessions and includes extensive parking and onsite catering facilities. The suite is also available for private hire.
