Foundations in Magical Practice with Sorita d'Este

Foundations in Magical Practice is a 6-week program in which participants learn about the basic foundations of modern (western) magic, and be invited to participate (with clear instructions) in exploring a number of esoteric techniques in practice. By the end of this course, active participants will have gained (or improved) their knowledge, understanding and experience of the following:

1/ Symbols - How to read, understand and use symbols

2/ The Language of the Gods and Spirits

3/ The Four (Five!) Elements, and the Seven Planets

4/ Ritual Practice

5/ Sigilisation Techniques

& other essentials!

This course draws on techniques and symbolism from a spectrum of Western Traditions, and beyond. It does not claim to teach the mysteries of a particular tradition, rather it seeks to empower practitioners of magic, witchcraft and other practices today who are seeking support from an experienced practitioner to expand their knowledge and understanding.

Those who complete the course will be encouraged to continue their own studies and practices both by dedicating themselves to excel in all that they do, and through the continuation of their studies in a community of peers.

Where & How: The course will be delivered via Zoom, which you can use on a laptop, smartphone and many other devices from anywhere in the world. Zoom is free to use for you. RECORDINGS WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE TO REPLAY for those who want to go through the material more than once, or if you miss the live sessions. 

Time: 8pm to 10pm BST (British Summer Time), 3pm EST, or UTC +1.

Dates: This course will take place on FRIDAYS. More information nearer the time.

Course Fees: This course is being offered by donation. The suggested donation is £58.00, or £38.00 for concessions (no proof required). However, you also have the option of donating what you can reasonably afford, with no minimum required donation. The course starts on the 16th of September

Places are limited, and it is asked that you only enrol if you are able to join the live sessions, as this is not a pre-recorded course . Sessions include smaller group sessions in which you will be invited to interact with other participants.

You will also need: A notebook, pen, scrap paper, a desire to learn :-)

Sorita d'Este is the author of numerous books and articles on practical magic, mythology and the history of the gods.
