Description

The Rotary Club of Retford is delighted to welcome to the Olde Bell Hotel, the outstanding piano duo, Benjamin Frith and Heidi Rolfe.

Benjamin’s reputation in the local area, nationally and internationally is renowned and his busy schedule of recitals and concertos take him all over the world. His recordings have received golden honours, being Critics Choice in Gramophone magazine and Top Recommendation on Radio 3 as well as reaching the top of the Classical charts. Benjamin delights in playing with his partner, Heidi Rolfe, a great champion of women composers and an exciting yet sensitive companion within the wonderful four hand repertoire.

In their programme they will present Rimsky-Korsakov’s thrilling Scheherazade, together with other unmissable gems!

Proceeds from this concert will be donated to the Rotary International 'End Polio Now' Project. Polio, once a world-wide crippling disease, has been all but eradicated by Rotary’s End Polio Now campaign, with the help of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which double-matches all contributions. The disease only exists in Pakistan, Afghanistan and India and the end is in sight. Rotary is committed to see the world free of Polio.
