About this Event

The Spirit of Flatness - UK Premiere: Documentary film about traveling through the country of Finland, snowboarding and figuring out how the practice of this sport in so difficult in flat geographical conditions, practically without any mountains. As you know Finland has some of the best snowboarders in the world, so we invited two interesting professional riders - Janne Lipsanen and Axel Thelen to our trip. They show us how snowboarding can be done in Finland, as the duo drive deep in to the Arctic Circle and also show the highest mountain top where probably no one was ever riding on a snowboard before .Axel and Janne, like most of Finnish riders never saw their "mountains" ,thats why we decided to do this trip. In this Story they solve the mystery and at the same time, enjoy the great culture of snowboarding in the flatness of Finland.

Electric Greg - London Premiere: Record-breaking mountain endurance athlete, Greg Hill, has never shied away from a goal. Through his time spent in the mountains he's seen the affects of climate change first-hand and came to realize the way he was approaching the mountains was only making the problem worse. Two years ago he changed his approach and set out to climb 100 peaks without burning any fossil fuels. But the question is: will it make a difference?

Beyond Dreams: The film tells the life story of Roman Romancini, one of the most important Brazilian mountaineers, in his endeavor to reach his greatest dream: climbing Mount Everest, the highest mountain on the planet. Starting early in his athletic career, he passes through several deadly experiences. But it was while riding a bike that he got hit by a car in an accident that almost put an end to his sport life forever.

Directed by Rafael Duarte (Bambalaio Filmes) and produced by Leonardo Edde (URCA Filmes), “Beyond Dreams” shows how Roman dealt with the chance of never climbing again, how he fought a cancer and how he kept the Everest dream alive as an motivation to overcome the recovery process. Doctors, coaches, family and friends react in different ways to Roman's determination to still climb Everest.

The documentary shows how he reached, during his preparation years, 4 of the “7 summits” during winter, considered by many an almost impossible mission. Survivor of the avalanche that hit the Khumbu Falls in 2014, a few feet from Everest Base Camp, Roman returned to the Himalayas four years later with Rafael Duarte and Padawa Shepa, who together documented the most challenging expedition of his life.
