This workshop is part of the exhibition 'Fragments of a River' by Angela Blažanović.

The artist Angela Blažanović will lead a workshop session on Sculpting with Found Objects. During the workshop the artist will share insights into her process of making her recent body of work 'Fragments of a River': A photographic series of sculptural compositions of discarded objects found along the river banks of the Thames.

Participants will be encouraged to reevalute their perception of found objects and explore ways of composing and sculting with found materials from the river shore.

The main aim of this workshop is to have a playful experience at sculptinng with discarded objects rather than composing the perfect photograph - therefore, participants will use their phones to capture their creations but are also welcome to bring in their own photography equipment if they prefer.

'Fragments of a River' forms an anthropological study of the river Thames. The body of work aims to reveal ways of seeing the river as much as it contemplates environmental issues of plastic pollution.

Through the repeated act of sculptural arrangements the dead objects and the stories they carry within compose new life, in an effort to reimagine their traces.
