Event description

Description

Join us to discover more about frailty in later life and what you can do to remain mobile, active and independent.

If you are in your 50s, 60s or beyond, you will probably be considering the freedom of life after work. The cruel irony of this condition is that it begins to affect a lot of people just as they are beginning their well-earned retirement.

At this free event, you will have the opportunity to receive a brief assessment of your physical functionality (strength, balance and flexibility) and hear a talk on the 5 traits of frailty. You will also be able to discuss any particular concerns you have with one of our physiotherapists after the talk - see schedule below.

It is our aim to leave you knowing much more about frailty and what you can do to prevent it and, in some cases, even reverse it.

This is not about anti-ageing, this is about AGEING WITH CONFIDENCE.

The doors will open at 6pm and for the first hour or so you will be able to receive an assessment. There will be a 30-minute talk at 7:15pm on the 5 traits of frailty, after which, the physiotherapists will be available to discuss any personal concerns you have. The event closes at 8:30pm.

Feel free to turn up anytime before 7:15pm and leave just after the talk if you need to.
