Frame Basket Making Workshop 5th October at Abundant Earth, Durham.

The frame basket is a lovely little harvesting basket.

It would have traditionally been woven from coppiced hedgerow materials, but we'll be using our own homegrown willow.

Beginning by making the frame, we'll then continue to weave with finer willow to create a circular basket with a curved base, ideal for harvesting, foraging or use within the home.

All tools and materials will be provided along with teas, coffee and cake, please bring packed lunch.

We'll be working at our smallholding, Abundant Earth, in our summerhouse, amidst the trees and the fields and looking over the valley.

There are steps up to the entrance so please let me know if you have any particular access requirements.
