Framlingham College Production: Alice

Laura Wade’s take on Lewis Carroll’s classic tale sees Alice placed firmly in the 21st century and features all of the classic characters, but not in the way you might expect. Whether it is an iPhone eating caterpillar or a talking hedgehog/croquet ball, the play retains all of the bizarre elements but with a relatable grieving girl at its core.

This production features an ensemble cast of twenty Year 9 and 10 pupils who provide the confusing and hilarious encounters that Alice has with all of Wonderland’s inhabitants and she tries to get to ‘the heart’.
