Franchising and Intellectual Property for business growth
Event Information
Description
This workshop will look firstly at the different types of Intellectual Property in business and particularly in the context of potentially allowing others to use it in a franchise context. So we look at the forms of IP, it’s protection and packaging it up to allow selected partners to use it. (Implication being that you don’t want all and every one to be able to use your IP).
Secondly, the workshop will look at what is meant by Franchising (Business Format Franchising), the key components required to successfully develop a business format franchise and how to assess if it’s the right growth strategy for your business.
Workshop outline:
- Understanding the value of intellectual property
- Recognizing how your IP applies to the business, how to protect it and package it for others to use
- What is Franchising
- The key elements required to successfully franchise your business and build your value
- Assessing Franchising as a potential and viable strategy to grow your Business
