Facilitating collaboration between academics and CSOs working in the UK food sector is the FRC’s central mission. The idea for this workshop sprang from suggestions made in our membership survey earlier in the year.
Understanding how to strengthen academic and CSO collaboration for the purpose of producing evidence to improve UK food policy
To better understand:
- Why and how academics and CSO collaborate with each other?
- What works well and what are the challenges to collaboration?
- What can be done to improve collaboration and how might FRC best facilitate this?
This event is open to FRC members only, and places are limited. We would particularly welcome those who have experience of CSO-academia collaboration and/or who wish to collaborate in the future. You are very welcome to join the FRC if you are not already a member and wish to attend, see
The workshop will take a participatory approach and be led by a professional facilitator.
We will be inviting some of those attending to present their experience of collaboration, and we will use group work and other participatory methods to achieve the desired objectives and outcomes.
Further information on the programme for the day will be provided to those who attend. A short report on the findings and conclusions from the workshop will be made available on the FRC website at a later date.
