About Fred (in his own words)

I love rope but i am not a rope fetishist.

I began tying several years ago after a long involvement in the BDSM lifestyle; initially by integrating a mixture of American and Eastern rope into my scenes, learning casually from a variety of teachers and schools. A little over a year ago, my passion for rope and learning had expanded beyond what the local scene could offer, so I began travelling and seeking out teachers and workshops, both around the country and abroad. Rather than restrict myself to one school of rope, my preference is to learn a range of styles and techniques, from a number of skilled riggers. My aim is to collate the various styles, methods, and ties of each teacher into a style that is uniquely mine. I focus on combining the methodological ties of traditional shibari with the intuitive and reactive chaos of my primal nature. Structured rope is a good skill to have, but preferably used to capture a girl after chasing her through the woods.
