The 7 week mindfulness programme is designed to help you learn new ways of managing difficult physical sensations, feelings and moods. The core skill that you will learn is mindfulness, a way of paying attention, on purpose,non-judgementally to what goes on in the present moment in your body, mind and the world around you. Mindfulness practices can increase awareness so that we can respond to situations with choice,rather than automatically. We do that by practicing becoming aware of where our attentionis and deliberately changing the focus of attention, over and over again. Weekly sessions on Wednesdays last 1.5 hours.
If you sign up for this course you will be expected to attend every session.
