Event description
Calderdale Council Bikeability - FREE Adult cycle training - Saturday Afternoons at Spring Hall Sports Facility, Halifax. HX3 0AA

About this event

If you fancy learning how to ride a bike, come and join us on a Saturday afternoon.

A qualified instructor will help with your balance, confidence and cycling skills and have you riding around in no time.

These 1 and a 1/2 hour sessions are free and open to adults. They will continue fortnightly until the end of September.

Bikes and helmets are available to borrow, but if you bring your own, it is even better, especially in these Covid times. All sessions have been risk assessed for Covid safety and we ask that everyone observes 2metre social distancing.

If you require more information please email - bikeability@calderdale.gov.uk

Free, socially distanced adult cycle training is being made available to help more people living and working in West Yorkshire to travel by bike. It is part of West Yorkshire Combined Authority’s CityConnect programme, which aims to enabling more people to travel by bike and on foot, in partnership with local authorities.

Whether people want to learn to ride for the first time, get back on a bike having not cycled in years, or develop their skills and confidence riding on the road – there's a session for everyone. Adult cycle training is available at venues across West Yorkshire to anyone aged 16 plus and is completely free to attend. Bikes are available for those without their own.
