A collection of free tours with the Elephant and Castle Town Centre Team, which will highlight the amazing history and heritage of the E&C and also the history of the top of the Walworth Road. The free tours will reflect local diversity with actors who will bring to life local characters and stories. These will be lead by John Whelan who will narrate some of the amazing factual history of the area. John has developed similar tours with the Tate, Burgess Park, Walworth Society, Camberwell Fair and has animated local history in projects such as Elephantastic in June 2021 with the Elephant and Castle Town Centre Team. The tour will see pieces of music and archival materials to bring people on a journey through the heritage of the area. It will bring to life our local heritage over each 1.5 hour tours.
