'At Home with the Seasons': Autumn workshop

The At Home with the Seasons workshop will inspire, encourage and equip you to support people living with dementia and their family carers to connect with the seasons, both at home, and close to home. The workshop will provide an opportunity to consider not only the natural seasons, but the seasons of our lives. Wherever you live, in the countryside, suburbs, or city, our workshop encourages you to engage your senses and connect with the natural world. Crafted to mirror the ebbs and flows of the season, each workshop takes inspiration from the At Home with the Seasons resource and focuses on the current time of year.

The picture and activity book that we will use during the workshop is an encouragement to be more intentional in noticing and connecting with the seasons.

Whether this is your first season’s workshop, or you have already attended several, you will come away with fresh ideas to try in your context.

Throughout the year, we invite you to join us for four workshops, each a seasonal celebration of nature's ever-changing beauty. You are welcome to attend, one, several, or all workshops.

The dates of the upcoming workshops are below:

• At Home with the Seasons - Winter: 13 January 2026
• At Home with the Seasons – Spring: 10 March 2026

The workshops will be facilitated by Marie Fortune, certified Life Coach, Creative Leader, Theatre Director, Writer, Actor and Puppeteer.

Marie is especially drawn to projects based on true stories and lived experiences that help to raise awareness and create conversations. She is Co-Artistic Director of @Foan & Fortune Theatre Company’ and Director in Residence for ‘Pluto Play Productions’. Marie volunteers with ‘AgeUK’ and is a proud trustee of ‘Arts 4 Dementia’. She is delighted to be celebrating the seasons with ‘Dementia Pathfinders’.

Once you have registered the Zoom invitation will be sent to you, as well as a reminder on the day of each workshop. The Zoom meeting will open 5 minutes before each session for a start at 3pm. There will be a short screen break during our time together, and we will finish promptly at 4.30pm.
