About this event

We are offering free (donations welcome) basic cycle maintenance training sessions at our Bike Hub East workshop in the Big Lemon bus yard off Boundary Road in East Brighton.

Brighton Bike Hub is a volunteer-led community cycle repair workshop that offers refurbished secondhand bikes at affordable prices, free access to tools and stands for DIY repairs, new and used bike parts, and advice and support from our volunteer team. We also run bike rides and training sessions such as this one.

Learn to keep your bike safe and roadworthy.

We will cover:

- Assessing a bike

- fitting and adjusting brake blocks/pads

- fitting and adjusting brake & gear cables

- lubricating chains

- repairing punctures inc. replacing inner tubes and tyres.

Please note our Bike Hub East workshop is partially outdoors (though covered), so in the event of rain waterproofs are advisable.
