Birmingham Hebraic Fellowship

Address: Kingsbury School and Sports College,
Kingsbury Road, Erdington, Birmingham B24 8RE

'Birmingham Hebraic Fellowship' every 2 weeks.

Located in Birmingham and set up to fellowship, worship and study scriptures in its original Hebrew form and context.

Not sure about it?

This is understandable as many have never heard of Hebraic and have no idea as to what it is, in fact people seem to get the word mixed up with 'Masonic' as in Free Masonry, this is a common misinterpretation and is far, far far! from the truth. Hebraic has 'No association' or relationship in any shape or form with 'Masonic'.

O.K, here are some questions and answers you may have in mind this will help you to understand a bit more about the fellowship.

Question: What is Hebraic?
Answer: Hebraic followers employ the Hebraic teachings of the gospel of Yeshua (gospel of Jesus) as christians do, part of its roots is to also teach in parallel the older testament which includes the 'Torah' (first 5 books of Moses). If you have no idea what a Hebraic fellowship is, maybe now is the time to find out. Put it this way the disciples believed that Yeshua (Jesus) was the Messiah, so you can comfortably say that 'they' were the first Hebraic leaders and all those who followed them in their teachings according to the teachings of Yeshua (Jesus).

Question: Is it for Jews?

Answer: No! Jesus was a Jew, as our teacher (Rabbi) we are to follow His teachings so we will follow, whether Jew or Gentile we are now grafted into the 'olive' tree which is Israel. All are welcome, the fellowship is none denominational but the essence of the fellowship, teaching and worship will be Hebraic as Yeshua (Jesus) and the apostles taught us.

Question: Do they believe in God?
Answer: Yes! we believe in God, some prefer to use the original Hebrew name Yahweh (YHWH) before it was removed from your bibles by the Roman Empire.

Question: Do they believe in Jesus?

Answer: Yes! we believe in Jesus, but most prefer to use the original Hebrew name 'Yeshua/Yahushua' before it was translated by the Roman Empire.

Question: Do they believe in the holy spirit?

Answer: Yes! we believe in the Holy Spirit, the original Hebrew name is 'Ruach HaKadosh'

Question: What can I expect on the day

Answer: A warm welcome, to gain a deeper understanding of the bible in its original Hebraic context, for example:

  • The traditions taught by Yeshua (Jesus), Love they neighbor and Love Yahweh (God)

  • The teachings of Yeshua (Jesus) hidden within the feasts set out in Leviticus 23.

  • The teachings of Shabbat (the 7th day rest) we are told to remember through ought generations

  • How to prepare for the second coming of Yeshua (Jesus)

  • The importance of worship, prayer and fasting
  • The importance of fellowship and love in the eyes of Yahweh

  • The importance of 'grace' that is through Yeshua

Question: Are there any things that the fellowship will not embrace?

Answer: We are here to fellowship in the name of Yahweh through the saving grace of Yeshua.  We will not encourage pagan festivals such as Valentines, Easter, Christmas and Halloween etc.  We are not here to judge or point any fingers as it is your choice if you decide to embrace these festivals but the fellowship will not participate in their origins.  We would rather teach and explain in love why these festivals should not be embraced so you have a balanced view and understanding to decide yourself.

Lets not forget that 'Fellowship' and 'Love' is the most important area of need
Most importantly we are here to fellowship, meet new friends and build a community where people are free to find rest given the state of society.  It's time to go back to the heart of worship where christianity originally derived from.  This is what 'Birmingham Hebraic Fellowship' is all about.

('Shalom' is a mighty hebraic word used to blessing on several levels to meet/greet in Yahweh)
