A pay-what-you-want comedy event in support of climate charities.

About this event

THIS IS A PAY-WHAT-YOU-FEEL-IT'S-WORTH EVENT. However, if you preorder your ticket on eventbrite for a scant £4, you secure a seat. The last 3 of these events sold out and that was pre-pandemic.

Listen, before I go into the show description, it's really important that you know: Kevin Hart will not be performing at this gig.

A lot of stand-up shows are jokes loosely connected with a theme. This is not one of those shows. It is a collection of jokes and observations about Northern Ireland, its people and its love-hate relationship with itself from comedian and literal suicide hotline operator Luke McGibbon. There is no theme and he flat out refuses to refer to any of this as "musings". They are jokes.

Just a little reminder- There will be no performances from Kevin Hart at this gig. Kevin Hart will not be making a surprise appearance at this gig and performing here.

Comedically, Luke has supported such Luminaries as Kevin McAleer, Rich hall and Jason Byrne, and was tour support for Micky Bartlett years ago (so long ago that it’s kind of embarrassing Luke still uses it to sell tickets). This is his third solo show and he is considering maybe ironing a shirt for it.

Not a chance of Kevin Hart. Stop asking.

“Great set” – Jason Byrne (he’d arrived an hour late and missed the set)

"Are you Luke? How long do you want me to do? That's fine."- Rich Hall

“Conjured up little sympathy for his broken leg”- Gigging NI

“Charmingly naff… It is witty stuff and, at times, darkly knowing… Indeed, one of McGibbon’s main strengths is his drily articulate asides”- Culture NI

"Sorry Luke but Mr Hart has no interest in performing at that gig"- Kevin Hart's manager

All profit from this gig will go to the clean air task force- CATF are a non-traditional, fact-based, environmental organization that builds momentum for climatesolutions based on scientific evidence, intellectual integrity, and pragmatism. Giving Green have described it as one of the most effective climate charities, valuing its impact as 1 ton of carbon removed for every $5 recieved.
