As per our discussion, here is the Learner Agreement that outlines our expectations and policies for all participants, including parents and guardians, to ensure a safe and positive environment for everyone.
1. **Attendance and Punctuality:** We understand that life can be unpredictable, but we kindly ask that you make every effort to ensure your child attends each session punctually. Classes begin at 6:30 pm, and the doors will lock at 6:45 pm for safety reasons. If you know your child will be late or unable to attend, please notify Lorna Blackman via email at lorna.blackman61@gmail.com or through a text message at 07752197980.
2. **Class Conduct:** We expect all children to behave in a respectful and courteous manner towards their peers and teachers. Any form of bullying or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
3. **Health and Safety:** We are committed to providing a safe space for all participants. The teaching room will be set up to adhere to health and safety standards, and we will keep you informed of any specific requirements for certain activities.
4. **Learning Environment:** We strive to create an environment where all children feel comfortable and supported in their artistic endeavors. We kindly request that all mobile phones and other electronic devices be turned off during class time to minimize distractions.
5. **Food and Drink:** To maintain a clean and safe space, we ask that no food or drink, except for water in a sealable container, is brought into the classroom.
6. **Chewing Gum:** For the safety of all our learners, chewing gum is strictly prohibited during lessons.
7. **Personal Belongings:** While we will do our best to ensure the security of personal items, we recommend labeling all possessions and encourage children to keep their belongings with them at all times. The Stylistlers cannot be held responsible for any lost or stolen items.
8. **Exams and Feedback:** Your child will be prepared for their LAMDA exam, and we will keep you informed of their progress. Feedback will be provided in a constructive and positive manner to help them improve and grow as performers.
9. **Communication:** Regular updates will be sent via email regarding class schedules, special events, and any changes that may arise. If you have any concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to contact Lorna Blackman.
10. **Parental Involvement:** We believe that a strong partnership between parents and the group is essential for a child's success. We encourage you to attend any performances and support your child in their learning journey.
11. **Safeguarding:** In line with our commitment to safeguarding, we have implemented additional measures to ensure the well-being of all children. This includes a locked door policy after 6:45 pm. For the safety of all, we ask that you lock the entrance door when you enter the venue.
12. **Photography and Video:** Occasionally, we may take photographs or videos for promotional purposes or to document the children's progress. If you do not consent to your child's image being used, please inform us in writing.
13. **Exams:** The LAMDA exams are a wonderful opportunity for children to showcase their talents and gain valuable qualifications. We will work closely with you to prepare them for this exciting event.

Dear Parents
To address the need for observation and childcare, the hallway can indeed be a great alternative. By placing chairs in the hallway, parents can still keep an eye on their children through the windows while also giving the teacher and students the necessary space to carry out the lesson. This way, they can be available for quick assistance without interrupting the class.
The hallway setup allows parents to engage in quiet conversations if needed, without disrupting the class. It's a win-win situation that supports the child protection policy while also respecting the educational process. Plus, the windows serve as a clear visual connection, ensuring that parents can see the magic unfolding inside the classroom without actually being in it and potentially disturbing the flow of the lesson.
So, let's all agree to keep the conversations and phone chimes in the hallway, creating a harmonious balance between parental involvement and an uninterrupted drama class experience. After all, the show must go on, and we want every child to shine in the spotlight without any unexpected intermissions!
Thank you
