About this event

Welcome to the Free Children's Book Event!

Come join us at Coulsdon Library on August 26, 2025 at 10:15 for a fun-filled morning of storytelling and tales of animal welfare.

Local author Will Linsdell will be reading extracts from the childrens' illustrated book 'The Life & Times of Mr Bartholomew Bucket'.

He will be joined by RSPCA Animal Welfare Officer Cheska who will talk about the amazing work she does helping animals in need.

"What's the most imaginitive use for a bucket that you can think of?"

Bartholomew undertakes over 30 tasks in the book, and the child that gives the most imaginitive answer to the question will win a copy of the story set in the late 60s about love, friendship and fun on a farm.

Copies will also be available to buy for £10 with all proceeds going to RSPCA South London for our animal welfare work.

Tickets are limited so please book quickly to avoid disappointment. Book here or at https://croydon.events.mylibrary.digital/event?id=235895
