Christmas is always a special time of peace, family and friendship. In this session we will discover how Christmas was celebrated during a time of great upheaval and violence: the Great War 1914-1918. We will look at the celebration both at home and in the trenches; some of the personal stories of Christmas through letters and diaries and discover the truth behind the famous football match in no-man's land.

This course will be delivered over 1 session. Once enrolled you will receive details about how to join your online course a few days before the course starts.

Open to anyone aged 19 and above living in Lancashire (not including Blackburn with Darwen and Blackpool)
