About this event

Come and join us for a fun and informative session on climate education in the great outdoors! Community BlueScapes invites you to a free, hands on CPD session designed to inspire and equip teachers with the tools they need to make the most of outdoor spaces.

Join us for a relaxed and practical session where you’ll:

🌱 Discover creative ways to bring nature into your classroom

🌱 Share your experience teaching climate-related topics

🌱 Connect with like-minded educators in Richmond and Wandsworth

🌱 Learn simple, confidence-boosting outdoor activities to try this academic year

This event will take place at the WWT London Wetland Centre, where you can immerse yourself in nature while sharing ideas on using outdoor spaces effectively in your own classroom.

This is a great opportunity to share your ideas and best practice with other educators. There will be a chance to enjoy some refreshments and network with other professionals afterwards.

Whether you're a teacher, educator, or work in a classroom setting, this session is perfect for you. Don't miss out on this opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and gain valuable knowledge on this important topic.

Who is it for: Primary school teachers in our catchment area, which includes Castelnau, Mortlake, Barnes, East Sheen, and Roehampton.

When: Tuesday 30 September 2025

Time: Arrive at 5 pm. The session will run for one hour, followed by drinks, refreshments, and informal networking until 7 pm.

Where: London Wetland Centre.

What do I need to bring? You won't need to bring anything as all materials will be provided.

Register now: Spaces are limited so book early to avoid missing out.

Explore our learning resources: Don’t forget to check out our free online learning programme, created to support teachers and communities as they explore climate resilience and nature-based learning. These materials are freely available and designed to complement your curriculum.

We are coming together to create healthier neighbourhoods in the Beverley Brook catchment in Richmond and ensure our communities are flood and weather resilient in the near future.

Empowering our residents to co-create these solutions with us is integral to our work. We understand that our local communities have the knowledge we need to improve the local environment, and we want you to help us shape the future of your neighbourhood.

Community BlueScapes is a partnership between London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, Barnes Common Limited, and WWT.
