This FREE 2 day workshop covers practical essential skills in capturing audio and video, editing and professional postproduction techniques.

About this event

This course is free to Hackney residents. Our Creative Media Production course provides a useful introduction to professional motion graphics and audio production techniques. This 2 day workshop covers practical content capture through lens and audio recording equipment before learning how to edit with Adobe Premiere Pro. Explore industry standard postproduction workflows. The course is led by a broadcast media expert.

  • Workflow & Media Management
  • Importing video, audio and graphics
  • Media organisation
  • Editing Functions
  • Applying and modifying Transitions and Effects
  • Simple Colour Correction
  • Creating Titles
  • Speed changes and Freeze Frames
  • Audio Filters & Mix-down
  • Using filters for special effects
  • Rendering your final project

Completing this course will enable you to:

  • Understand professional creative media production principles
  • Use a range of editing and trimming operations
  • Manage media and workflow effectively
  • Apply transition and effects
  • Mix audio
  • Render and export finished movies

Course requirements:

This course is provided free of charge to Hackney residents who have UK/EU citizenship and were aged 19 or older on 31/08/2021. To enrol you will need to give a Hackney address. The course runs on 2 days on a Thursday and Friday or Friday and Saturday. No prior knowledge of audio or editing software is required: only basic PC skills.

Places are booked on a first come first served basis. We are operating a stand by / waiting list in case courses are fully booked.

Attendees should have basic PC skills. If English is not your first language you should have a good level of English in order to participate.
