If so, join Media Trust for London360's FREE 12-week crash course. Receive masterclasses in TV, radio, and print press. Visit big brand media companies like Google and Discovery TV.
You’ll receive an intense media experience with meet-the-experts, hands-on media training, special guest speakers and mentoring.
Dates: 5th September to 25th November 2016.
For the first 6 weeks, you will be based at Media Trust for 3 days a week (Monday to Wednesday), with a practical media task to complete every Thursday and a visit to a big-brand media company every Friday.
For the last 6 weeks, the course will focus on employability skills and training. You will be paired with a professional media mentor, who will support you in applying for opportunities in media companies. You will receive top advice on how to apply for internships, freelance work, and further training schemes.
You must be able to commit for the whole duration of the programme.
Free travel and lunch for each training day is provided for successful applicants.
*To apply for this programme, you must not be in employment, education or training. Priority will be given to those who have been unemployed for over 6 months, and have not previously participated in a London360 workshop. In order to be considered, you must be living in London and have gone to secondary school in London.

What will be provided?
We will be covering reasonable travel costs that we will arrange with you. Lunch and refreshments will be provided each full day. If you have special dietry requirements, please let us know. You are also welcome to bring your own packed lunch if you wish.
What does this scheme involve?
This is a 12-week media training programme. It includes a range of masterclasses, meet-the-expert days, and practical media skills training in vlogging, blogging, social media, personal branding, and photography. You will also receive insights into the media and music industries, get support from the London360 reporters, and hear from special guest speakers such as Noel Clarke, Alesha Dixon, Peter Andre and Charlie Sloth. Please remember, this is an intensive and exciting programme. It is important that you commit for the whole duration.
I can't attend all of the days, should I still apply?
You will need to be able to commit to the full duration of the programme. For the first 6 weeks, you will be based at Media Trust for 3 days a week (Monday to Wednesday), with one weekly visit to a media company on Fridays. For the last 6 weeks, you will need to be able to meet your mentor for 1 weekly visit, plus further training opportunities we provide for you. You will need to be actively looking for and applying for opportunities.
Do I need any previous experience in media?
No previous experience is necessary, we will be providing you with all the training you need. You just need lots of enthusiasm and a willingness to commit to the whole programme.
Who is the opportunity for?
This opportunity is open to 18-24 year olds, who live in London and want to gain media experience. Applicants must not be in employment, in education or training. Priority will be given to those who have been unemployed for over 6 months, and have not previously participated in a London360 workshop. I'm unemployed and looking for job, how will this scheme help me?
As part of your media tasks, you will be creating content that will be distributed across London360's media platforms and online via YouTube and Tumblr. Your professional media mentor will fully support you as you go through your job search, and help you with your applications.
It says this opportunity is for young people not in education, training or employment. I have a weekend job, can I still apply?
