Stage 1 Cycles is running the one-day course on behalf of Cycling UK out of Harraby Community Centre, the cycling track and the local roads. The course will require some e-learning prior to the practical session which will be sent through once sign-up is confirmed.
You will meet Helen from Stage 1 Cycles at Harraby Community Centre cafe. There will be a brief introduction and theory prior to going out on your bike, to practice your skills and become a competent ride leader. This maybe on the Harraby Cycle Track as well as the roads to assess your competence as a rider.
Please ensure you are dressed appropriately for the weather, including any relevant safety gear such as helmets, and either bring a packed lunch or it can be ordered from the Harraby café. Please remember to bring your own bike which can be secured at hoops outside the community centre or, if necessary, could be brought inside with permission from the centre manager/receptionist.
The training is due to finish by 3pm and the instructor will confirm if you have passed, next steps and will contact Cycling UK to ensure you receive the certificate.
Please note: as this course is provided for free and would normally cost a significant amount if you do not attend or provide notice of cancellation 48hours in advance then you will not be able to attend future courses and maybe liable for the cost of the course.
