Arranged via The Training Exchange, this practical and interactive one-day course is designed to develop confidence, understanding and skills for de-escalating situations and managing challenging behaviour in work-related settings.
This training offers space for reflection as well as hands-on tools to prevent and manage conflict, aggression and escalation, supporting safer, more effective working relationships.
What you’ll gain:
By the end of the course, participants will have had opportunities to:
- Increase their understanding of challenging and aggressive behaviour, its causes and context
- Explore what happens in conflict and when situations escalate
- Reflect upon their personal responses to conflict and escalation
- Develop skills and strategies to prevent and de-escalate conflict, challenging and aggressive behaviour.
Who should attend:
Ideal for people in client-facing roles who encounter difficult or high-pressure interpersonal situations in the course of their work.
Trainer:
Susan Lawrence is an experienced and creative trainer, group facilitator and Dramatherapist, with a background in Social Work and Community Work.
