Event Description

Join us for Effectively Supporting People Who Have Experienced Trauma Training delivered by St Mungos'. Developed with clinical psychologists and psychotherapists, this course offers a clear and practical introduction to trauma, helping you build the confidence and insight needed to support people in a safe, compassionate, and informed way.

During this session, you will:

  • Explore the differences between PTSD and complex trauma
  • Gain an understanding of attachment and how it influences emotional regulation, relationships, and behaviour
  • Learn how the brain adapts to traumatic experiences
  • Discover evidence-based trauma-informed approaches to support
  • Discuss how to apply trauma-informed approaches in practice
  • Reflect on the importance of workers and volunteers looking after themselves in their roles
