The Croydon Coaching Community is inviting adults and children to a series of FREE workshops on Emotional Intelligence (EQ) to support the United Nations’ Universal Children’s Day on 20th November.
The workshops will take place on Saturday 3rd December, from 2pm, at Whitgift Sports Club (FKA Old Whitgiftians sports club), Croham Manor Rd, South Croydon CR2 7BG.
The workshops are designed for adults and/or children to practice emotional intelligence, around three essential themes: EQ for Self Awareness, EQ for Relationships, and EQ for Our World.
Universal Children’s Day is the date the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, UNCRC, was first ratified. It’s an international law recognising that all children have rights – such as the right to education, to be protected from trafficking, to express opinions, to play. We believe that the skills of emotional intelligence are key for adults and children to utilise and protect these rights.
In this fun and interactive session participants will learn how to:
– Explore children’s rights and share feelings around these
– Identify thoughts, feelings, and actions in a disagreement
– Use emotions, thoughts, and actions to support to strengthen your relationships and connections with others.
We hope participants walk away feeling empowered, connected, insightful, and excited to learn more about emotional intelligence for children.
