In times of high unemployment, employers have more choice of applicants, and will favour those with well-rounded employability skills. We have a suite of tailored qualifications to help people stand out from the crowd.

This qualification is suitable for those:

  • Struggling with long-term unemployment
  • Who have been made redundant
  • Who are returning to the workplace after a break

This 5 day course is delivered in a fun, interactive way which helps you to gain employment in a difficult job market.

  • How to write an impressive Curriculum Vitae

Unit 3 - Working with Others

Understand the importance of teamwork

  • How to work collaboratively with others
  • How to use your skills and knowledge to get results within a team

Unit 4 - Building Confidence and Self Esteem

Understand why confidence and self esteem is so important

  • How to build your confidence and self esteem
  • How to have a positive mindset when applying for a job

Unit 5 - Induction to Work

Understand your role in the workplace

  • How to conduct yourself at work
  • Your responsibilities in the workplace

Unit 6 - Looking and Acting the Part in the Workplace

Understand what is expected of you in the workplace

  • The importance of personal presentation
  • How to communicate in the workplace

Unit 7 - Preparing for and Taking Part in an Interview

Understand how to prepare and conduct yourself in an interview

  • How can I stand out in an interview?
  • How to answer the questions you may be asked in an interview
  • Mock interview tailored to your chosen job role

In addition to the qualification, skills can be gained and developed in the following areas:

The course will run from 10.00 am - 3.00 pm on the following dates:-
