Thames Valley Berkshire Funding Escalator:
£7.25 million has been invested to create the Thames Valley Berkshire Funding Escalator, dedicated to the support and development of ambitious early-stage Berkshire SMEs. There are three main elements to this series of funding options managed by The FSE Group:
- Commercialisation Loan Scheme: £25,000 to £50,000 to support early market development activities to establish presence and deliver growth
- Expansion Loan Scheme: £50,000 to £200,000 to support expansion activities that will deliver substantial growth and impact
- Growth Fund: £50,000 to £150,000 equity investment to match equal amount of private investment. Growth capital to build product or service proposition/infrastructure
Thames Valley Berkshire Business Growth Hub:
With the launch of the Business Growth Hub £1.23million has been invested over the past 12 months to boost economic growth in local businesses. This breakthrough initiative is focused on working with Thames Valley Berkshire businesses that have the potential, ambition and commitment to scale up and grow. The programme is managed by VitalSix who have been appointed by the LEP as the Growth Hub operating partner.
The Growth Hub is central to driving business growth in Thames Valley Berkshire. It will enhance and accelerate business performance, help more businesses to take advantage of national support programmes, increase jobs, and raise levels of exporting. Through the Growth Hub, ambitious high growth businesses benefit from coaching, support and business training at Henley Business School. As well as providing advice and support to over 100 companies to date, the Growth Hub has invested almost £500,000 in grants to help businesses fund new product development projects, prove new technologies and get new ideas to market.
