ThinkNation & ENGIE: create an energy solution for your chance win tour of The Olympic park (and ENGIE HQ in Canary Wharf!)

Get involved on October 19
What business model would YOU develop to disrupt building management costs to organisations?
From smart design to Internet of Things, we want to hear your ideas around solving this real life problem that ENGIE are working on right now.
There are no right or wrong answers, we’re looking for innovative and creative thinking!
Throughout the day, you’ll be supported by mentors from ENGIE, and work together with other students to collaborate, iterate and develop your idea before pitching it to a panel of experts later in the day.
Everyone welcome! We need University of Leeds students from art and humanities to science and business.
As well as a prize on the day, the team presenting the winning idea also get a paid trip to ENGIE’s London HQ at Canary Wharf where they will meet one of ENGIE’s UK directors. Plus they’ll have a tour of the Olympic Park, including a ride on The Slide at ArcelorMittal Orbit!
There are two parts to the day:
Part 1 - 1pm-6pm: The Think Tank Workshop open to University of Leeds students
1pm-2pm: The brainstorm session (with food and refreshments)
2pm-4pm: The final concept session
4pm-5pm: The pitch creation
5pm-6pm: Break/refuel (beer/pizza/softies)
Part 2 - 6pm-8pm: The Pitches - all welcome! Open to the wider community
If you can’t attend the workshop but are interested in finding out more, then come to the pitch session. You’ll also have the chance to meet ENGIE personnel, including Head of Talent.
6pm-7pm: Team presentations
7.15pm-7.30pm: Expert panel feedback and brief audience discussion on issues covered in pitches
7:30pm: Winner announced
Why take part?

“In June 2016 I took part in an ENGIE event at The University of Sussex during ENGIEs Innovation Week. I was really impressed by their attitude towards students and the value they believe students and graduates will bring to their organisation. I’m now doing my year placement in London in their innovation team, developing new ideas and working with global startups. It's brilliant!” Ameenah Begum, University of Sussex BSc Product Design.
