FREE FAMILY CYCLING AT SLAITHWAITE FIRE STATION

New Street, Slaithwaite, Huddersfield HD7 5AB

Join our DBS-checked cycling instructors for some fun cycling sessions this summer.

We have learn to ride bikes, pedal bikes, scooters and a drift scooter available to use. Children will get a chance to learn to ride or improve their cycling skills in these fun sessions, run by qualified cycling instructors.

Bikes are available to use, or if possible, please bring your own so you can be sure of a good fit.

We also have adult bikes available so grown ups can join in the fun. Non-riders welcome!

Contact Kate by email at cyclewithaftm@outlook.com if you have any queries.

Run by Ask for the Moon Limited, a Bikeability training provider in Kirklees.

Frequently asked questions

Why is there an age restriction?

We have restricted the age range for both weeks to make it safer for all riders as older children will want to ride harder and faster. We want to make sure the younger children feel safe, especially as some may be learning to ride for the first time.

Do you have any adapted bikes?

We are sorry that we can't accommodate children who need an adapted bike on this session. Streetbikes run sessions on a Saturday and have lots of adapted bikes to suit many needs. Google 'Streetbikes' to find out more.

Do I have to stay with my child for the whole session?

Yes, we expect parents and carers to stay for the session. We do have adult bikes and helmets available so you can join in if you wish.
