Description

Black Diamonds is the iconic film about coal mining and its dangers by miner and amateur film maker Charles Hamner. Filmed in Barnsley the film begins with the recreation of the 1912 disaster at Cadeby and then the efforts of a miner John Morgan to convince an MP to finance a film about pit life

The screening begins 11, tickets are free but a donation on the day is appreciated.

(The film is unrelated to the book of the same name)
