Modern slavery is a heinous and often hidden crime. It includes slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour and human trafficking. The impact can be devastating for the victims.

This is a full day interactive workshop aimed at all staff (paid or volunteers) working for local organisations/agencies or community organisations that might come in contact with vulnerable people or survivors of modern slavery/trafficking.

The training will focus on what modern slavery is, indicators and signs, vulnerability, first responders, consent, National Referral Mechanism, referral process, support available, complexities and sensitivities, professional curiosity, case studies, good practice and filling in MS1 forms.

Venue: Byron House, 2A Maid Marian Way, Nottingham, NG1 6HS. The public entry is through the Central Police Station. Parking available on street for a fee. No lunch provided, please bring your own lunch.

This training session is organised by Community Relations Team from Nottingham City Council, paid by PCC and delivered by Snowdrop Project, a national agency providing long-term support to empower survivors of human trafficking.
