IT Professional Training are offering you the chance to join this free (fully funded by SAAS) CompTIA Network + Course in Edinburgh. This part-time, tutor-led course s free for people who qualify for SAAS part-time funding grant.

For SAAS funding eligibility:

1. You have to be a resident of Scotland

2. Either employed and earning £25, 000 a year or less or can be unemployed as well

3. Have not used the SAAS funding in this Academic Year.

Course Schedule:

Scheduled Start Date: Wednesday 30th March 2022

Day : Every Wednesday for 20 - 22 weeks

Time : 06:00pm to 09:00pm.

Modes of Learning Available:

You have the option of undertaking this course via following learning modes:

1.) Face to Face Classroom based Learning: You will attend the class each week on the day and time mentioned above.

2.) Virtual Learning: Live traditional face to face class will broadcast to all virtual learners each week on a specified time.

3.) Blended Learning: Mixture of Face to face and Virtual learning (must inform when joining the course.

4.) ELearning: is self-paced, you will be completing the course in your own time and do not have to attend any traditional face to face classes or virtual.

Introduction:

The network field is perhaps one of the fastest growing fields of expertise in the industry, and several certifications are available in the Network field, including the CompTIA Network + certification. Networking is the most integral component of information security today and network knowledge is a requirement to be a proficient information security specialist. CompTIA Network+ prepares networking professionals to earn vendor-neutral certifications in other areas of expertise. A certification by CompTIA, Network+ (N+), helps demonstrate a person's knowledge in TCP/IP, managing a network, network operating systems, and installing and upgrading networks.

With the comprehensive number of networks functioning in all types of organisations and companies, network technicians need IT certification on a mid-level to demonstrate their competence in the fields of networks design, network cabling, setup of network hardware, installation, network support and troubleshooting. The CompTIA Network + Certification is a type of certification for network technicians and proves the competence of its holders in the above mentioned areas. It is an advantage providing proof of the adequate knowledge and skills technicians possessing it have, and it is a benefit that enhances their eligibility when they apply for jobs.

Prerequisite:

Requirements: While CompTIA recommends that you take A+ before Network+, they have never made it a requirement, and plenty of people are successful skipping to Network+ certification.

Recommendation: It is recommended for CompTIA Network+ candidates to have the following:

 CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent knowledge, though

 CompTIA A+ certification is not required.

 Have at least 9 to 12 months of work experience in IT Networking

 Coverage of newer hardware and virtualization techniques

 Concepts to give individuals the combination of skills to keep the network resilient
