Learn how to grow organic vegetables easily and successfully in whatever space is available.
This 2-day step-by-step non-residential course is suitable for beginners and future teachers. Topics include garden design, seeding, bed preparation, planting, soil conditioning, and much more!
The course includes some hands-on practicals. We advise wearing comfortable clothes and outdoor shoes. If the weather forecast is rainy, you may want to bring wellies and raincoats.
Shoes need to be left at the entrance, so please bring a pair of indoor slippers or some thick socks.
We will provide the materials for the course but if you would like to purchase the GetGrwoing Handbook, these will be available for £11. During the course you will be making a plan for your garden/balcony, so we suggest bringing along the exact measurements of the place where you plan to have your vegetable patch. If you don’t have one yet don’t worry, you’ll still be able to make one up. If you want to take down some notes, please bring a notebook and a pen.
Please arrive between 8:45am & 9:00am, if possible. The schedule for the weekend is full so it’s important that we start on time.
Finally, please bring vegetarian lunch to share!
