As part of the travel meet-ups - http://www.laurenmacneish.com/MeetUps
I've been running photography workshops for, scarily, around 5 years now. But I've decided to stop them for a while because I have an idea for 2017 that I'd love you to be a part of.
Over the past year I've been organising some free photo walks in Scotland, which have proven to be a big success. So an idea has started to evolve. I want to take these meet-ups one step further.
I want to go on these expeditions that we always say we're going to do but never get around to.
But I want to share these experiences. So, starting with Iceland in February 2017, I want to start some free meet-ups and would love for YOU to join me.
Obviously, you pay for travel and expenses but the meet up part is free :-).
I've put this idea to some people and the most common question is: "But what do you get out of it?" - experience, new friends and an excuse to travel.
It's all about safety in numbers, meeting new friends and taking great pictures, while opening up the opportunity to meet up with people from across the globe.
This is open to anyone from amateur photographers to pros to explorers - even friends and family. I've found that taking photographs with other photographers is a really valuable experience and its certainly how I'm continuing to learn and better my skills.
This meet-up is for Iceland in February 2017.
I will be flying out from Glasgow on February 24th (Friday) and coming back on February 27th (Monday).
Since it's important to think of safety at all times and not veer off-course, I've put a suggested itinarary below, where we will use proper guides and transportation.
Friday 24th - Arrival day, evening meal/meet and greet
Saturday 25th - Day: TBD - Official meet-up evening: Glacier walk and Northern Lights tour
Sunday 26th - TBD (possible Blue Lagoon)
Monday 27th - Departure day
You are welcome to join on any of these days :-)
How To Book:
If you just wish to do the official meet-up Glacier Walk and Northern light tour and travel on different days, you are welcome to. Just let me know you are joining this trip by booking a free ticket on here. You can email me with any questions or to get advice on booking.
What You Need If You're Taking Photographs:
