Westland Place Studios, in partnership with Hackney Council, is offering FREE short courses to help Hackney residents gain valuable digital skills.
Our first course is a 2-day Introduction to WordPress:

In this hands-on beginner course, you’ll learn how to:
- Create a professional website from scratch
- Customise themes and layouts
- Add pages, images, menus and contact forms
- Understand hosting and publishing basics
No previous experience needed — just bring your enthusiasm!
Who Can Join?
This programme is fully funded for Hackney residents who:
- Are aged 19+
- Have UK/EU citizenship and the right to work in the UK
Important Notes
- This Eventbrite listing is for pre-registration only.
- Once you register here, we’ll send you the official booking link to confirm your place.
- A £20 refundable deposit is required at booking (waived for learners on benefits with Work Coach referral).
- Places are limited to 7 participants per course - first come, first served.
- This course is delivered by Platform Training, an established London-based digital skills training provider, on behalf of Hackney Council’s Adult Learning programme.
