Come onboard Theatreship for a free late (ish) night film. It's completely free to book. Following the long running success of Mystery Cinema, Theatreship are proud to present Late Night Mystery! For the films that feature a higher age rating or some more graphic scenes, but are still wonderful artistic gems. And this is a special screening in collaboration with the BFI's nationwide "Too Much: Melodrama on Film" season. Theatreship presents a series of nights dedicated to getting swept away by the power of emotion on the big screen. Our season, "Never Too Much," champions the genre's unapologetic intensity, celebrating its enduring influence and emotional depth. Films could be about love, loss or obsession… We're not going to give any more away for this event - but we promise the film will be good :)
When you get a round of drinks, you get a chance to guess the film with the bar staff - the first person to guess correctly gets their whole round for free.
If you book a ticket, do please come! A lot of our free events get booked up very quickly and we really want as many people as possible to enjoy the nights. If you can't come just let us know as soon as possible so we can release the ticket for someone else!
To keep things as fair as possible for people who want to come we scan tickets on the door, and if you book tickets but don't turn up without letting us know beforehand, you won't be able to book one of the free tickets again for a little while.
We've also opened a limited capacity waitlist for when the events are fully booked out too - it's usually worth coming along if you're on the waitlist - we've always been able to find everyone a seat so far!

Doors open 4pm for drinks at the bar. Film starts 8pm (no adverts or trailers just an introduction !)
Unlike most of our events, this event is not suitable for under 18s.
Due to the historic nature of the ship, we’re sorry to say there is not currently step-free access into the theatre space. We have dedicated staff on hand to help with stairs, and an onsite wheelchair once you’re inside the venue. If you have any access needs, please do e-mail us at access@theatreship.co.uk.
