FREE laughter session
Sat 12 November 2016, 10:30 – 11:30 GMT
The New Forest Laughter Group runs FREE community laughter sessions once a month at Fenwick Wellbeing Centre, Lyndhurst SO43 7NG. (*dates sometimes change to keep up to date with events make sure that you are on the 'session reminder email list'.
Scientific research has shown that laughter improves our physical, emotional, psychological and social health - sadly, in modern life few of us laugh enough to gain these benefits. Laughter and smiling is in our DNA - it's that important! No-one had to teach you how to laugh but many (most?) adults laugh far less than they used to.
When did you last laugh, really laugh for more than a few seconds? Using the infectious nature of laughter in a group and without relying on any external stimulus like comedy or humour you can learn the skill of self-facilitated laughter - laughing for the health of it!
Come along and find out more. No experience or equipment needed - just an open mind and curious attitude.
Session are run by fully qualified laughter expert Lesley Lyle (author of 'Laugh Your Way to Happiness).
From Romsey Road, Lyndhurst - drive up Pikes Hill, over the cattle grid and Fenwick Wellbeing centre is on the left hand side.
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
There is no age restriction but all attendees must be willing to fully participate in the session. We do not allow spectators and any children must be fully supervised and of an age where they are able to join in.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
There is plenty of parking available at the rear of Fenwick Wellbeing Centre. From Lyndhurst, the centre is along Pikes Hill, over the cattle grid and situated on the left.
